Free pastry treats for being an official taster with Hollands Pies

12 May 2020

Calling all vegetarian and vegan pastry fans! Your time has come. Holland’s Pies has launched its search for a NEW taster to join its elite Pie Panel to taste and review its proper tasty vegetarian and vegan range – in exchange for FREE pastry treats.

In a bid to cheer up the nation during this uncertain time, this delicious opportunity will not only mean that every six months you’ll get to sample and review new vegetarian or vegan products before anyone else, but the chosen panelist will also receive a year’s supply of product after every single meeting.

Holland’s Pies recently expanded its vegetarian range with the launch of the Wyke Farms Deep Fill Mature Cheese and Onion Pie, the Vegetarian Mince and Gravy Pie and the Cheese and Veg Pie. Not only that, last week Holland’s introduced its first ever Vegan Roll exclusively to North West Morrisons stores.

Entrants don’t require any previous experience, but it’s essential that they’re keen, enthusiastic pastry lovers with a keen interest in vegan and vegetarian food! Once the lucky applicant is selected, they’ll simply be required to attend Pie Panel meetings every six months – either remotely or at the famous factory itself, should government guidelines allow.

Leanne Holcroft, Brand Manager at Holland’s Pies, commented: “With the rising trend of meat-free diets, we wanted to ensure we had the expert opinion of a meat free consumer on our panel to help us continue to develop our range and grow our loyal fan base.

“We’re looking for someone who is passionate about pastry and with a keen interest in vegan and vegetarian food, to taste and feedback on our meat free ranges – they’ll be rewarded with a year’s supply of pastry goodness after each meeting. What better way to be paid?”

The brand has teamed up once again with star of Phoenix Nights and BBC Radio Manchester presenter Justin Moorhouse, who is himself a vegan, to launch the campaign.

Justin Moorhouse said: “I was thrilled when Holland’s Pies approached me once again to help them with their search for an addition to their Pie Panel – I’ve always loved their pies and puds and now that I’m a vegan, I’m so happy they’ve expanded into this area as I can get my Holland’s fix once again! Best of luck to all who apply.”

To win the chance of becoming a Pie Panelist, entrants must simply email piepanel@hollandspies.co.uk telling Holland’s Pies, in no more than 250 words, why they’re the most deserving of a coveted place on the Pie Panel. More information and T&Cs can be found on the Holland’s Pies Facebook page: www.facebook.com/hollandspiesofficial.

Applications will close on Friday 22nd May. The successful entrant will then be notified and their prize of a year’s supply of vegetarian pies and/or vegan rolls arranged.
