Holland’s Pies continues to go above and beyond for local charity
4 November 2022
Proper northern pie maker, Holland’s Pies, has partnered with Pendleside Hospice in Burnley, with initiatives and donations that have helped raise funds for the local charity.
The Baxenden-based baker donated an array of its delicious bakes to the hospice to support staff with their latest fundraising event, the Pendleside Witch Festival. The witch-themed festival and sponsored walk helped raise money to contribute to the care and services at Pendleside, which is an essential facility for patients suffering from long-term and life-limiting illnesses, and their families.
Previously, Holland’s Pies helped to raise £230 for the hospice in a raffle that gave Holland’s staff the chance to get their hands on their very own signed Burnley FC football shirt - a holy grail prize for any Clarets fan.
Alongside the raffle, Holland’s also donated 110 tasty pies to the hardworking staff at the hospice , giving nurses, doctors and the whole Pendleside team a fantastic pastry delight to tuck into during their well-earned lunch breaks. This charitable initiative is another of Holland’s many contributions to the community, which has seen Holland’s donate over 20,000 pies to notable causes across the North West.
Elaine Middleton, Head of Corporate Partnerships at Pendleside Hospice, said: “
Leanne Holcroft, Brand Manager at Holland’s Pies, added: "It has been a pleasure working with Pendleside Hospice and supporting their tremendous efforts in providing quality care and support to its residents – we’ve donated hundreds of pies to the lovely team at Pendleside! At Holland’s, we go the extra mile for our charity neighbours and pride ourselves on supporting our community across the North West in any way we can - whether it’s raising money, supporting events, or simply providing donations of delicious pies to deserving locals."See all our news
