We think that all accidents are preventable and 'If it’s not safe, don’t do it'
To achieve this the Health & Safety Leadership team work together to promote high standards of health and safety and to engage everyone in our journey. The Leadership team sets the strategy for the business focussing on leadership, standards and engagement.
We aim to ensure that all managers across the business are trained to manage health & safety risks in their work areas, that health & safety managers are supported and empowered to advise on the risks and to support closure of the actions, that engineers are supported to manage the risks they have to deal with and most importantly that leaders are engaged and committed to providing adequate resources and direction to make sure that people are kept safe at work.
To ensure that H&S is at the core of everything we do we train our people, set clearly measurable objectives, measure our performance, define standards, engage our colleagues and all interested parties, invest in safe workplace and systems, provide occupational health services, audit our procedures and drive continuous improvement.
