Green Isle Foods wins celebrated export award

Ireland’s largest frozen food producer has won the ‘Multinational Exporter of the Year Award 2016’ at the Irish Exporters Association annual awards in Dublin.

Green Isle Foods was chosen for its exceptional export performance to multiple countries across three continents with their range of branded, private label and food service solutions.

The business, operating under the 2 Sisters Food Group banner, was selected from over 150 entries and overcame other leading export businesses to win the award, ranging from manufacturers of pharmaceutical products to technology companies.

Keith Packer, managing director at 2 Sisters Frozen said: "This is a fantastic achievement to win this prestigious award and a great reflection of the hard work invested by our excellent team.

“We bring fresh thinking to frozen foods and this latest award strengthens our enviable reputation of developing innovative products across our product portfolio.

“Through our relentless commitment to quality, manufacturing excellence and an unwavering dedication to our customers we have developed a range of products that meet the local tastes, preferences and beliefs for each export market.”

Paschal McCarthy, president of the Irish Exporters Association said: “This year has been the most competitive yet in the standard of award entrants but our judges were particularly impressed with the scale of Green Isle Foods which exports a whopping 15 million cases annually with 140 containers dispatched weekly.

“In the past three years, they have extended their global footprint from five countries to over 20 today and they have won new customers in existing markets and expanded their presence in the Middle East.”
