Poultry processor offers 120 roles for collapsed Dairy Farm workers
Britain’s biggest chicken processor has thrown a lifeline to workers in jeopardy following the collapse of a Wrexham-based dairy business.
Tomlinsons Dairies went into Administration earlier this week, at the same time the 2 Sisters’ Sandycroft plant, in Deeside, was on the hunt for workers to fill up to 120 new roles at the site, which is based at Glendale Avenue, Sandycroft.
The plant has 120 permanent, full time vacancies at the chicken processing factory in a variety of roles ranging from packing, dispatch and preparation.
A 2 Sisters Food Group spokesman said: “While the news about our neighbouring dairy business is very sad, it is extremely fortunate that we can help out in this situation with the new opportunities we have currently at Sandycroft.
“There are a wide variety of roles available, and for the right individuals with the right skill sets and attitude, there are potentially some great careers at the business. In addition there are a variety of shift patterns to help fit around people’s busy lifestyles.”
2 Sisters has promised to interview all applicants as soon as possible. Anyone interested should call us on 01244 535 155 and ask for Sue Tollerton, Sarah Rainford or Amy Wilkinson in HR.
